BATON ROUGE – The LSU Department of Accounting will host the Second Annual International Business Forum on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the Crowne Plaza from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Because globalization is one of the college’s growth initiatives, the forum will be geared for discussion and interaction among business managers looking to interact in global markets. Those who attend the event will be awarded six hours of CPE credit.
E. J. Ourso College Dean Richard White will serve as the opening speaker, and Loren Scott, president of Loren C. Scott & Associates and professor emeritus of economics will address the forum as the keynote speaker. Immediately after the forum, a reception and breakout sessions will be held on various topics including the following:
Louisiana’s International Economy, moderated by Stephen Barnes, associate director of the LSU Division of Economic Development.
Accelerating International Growth via Soft Landings, moderated by Ye-Sho Chen, Marjory B. Ourso Center for Excellence in Teaching Professor in the LSU Department of Information Systems & Decision Sciences and director of the LSU Emerging Markets Initiative.
International Accounting and Auditing Issues, moderated by Laura DeLaune, professor and assistant department chair of the LSU Department of Accounting.
Registration for the forum is $100. The fee is payable by check only, and checks should be made out to the Department of Accounting with Annual Business Forum in the memo line. Checks may be delivered to Business Education Complex, Room 2800 or mailed to:
